About

We’re a bunch of car – or anything with wheels really – enthusiasts focused on carbon offsetting. Our innovative approach to tackle vehicle emissions allows individuals, venues, attractions, organisations, companies and clubs (basically anyone!) to carbon offset and carbon capture the exact miles they drive and enjoy green motoring.

Our mission is to make sure that the pollution from every mile powered by fossil fuels is balanced out by the planting and protection of beautiful forestry, throughout the UK and abroad.

Our ethos

We’re passionate about the environment and driving in equal measure. We love our classic cars (you should see our wish list!) but also care about keeping the world moving thanks to our modern cars and commercial vehicles so we want to make sure everyone has an easy way to balance miles.

We want to make sure our fellow enthusiasts and road users can enjoy their motoring while remaining conscious of the environment. We’re working hard to ensure that our goal of offsetting every mile driven in the UK is met. In the battle to save our planet, every mile counts.

Petrol and diesel engines in our daily drivers also aren’t going away anytime soon, especially for the billions of people who don’t live in a well-connected urban hub. For individuals and companies not yet ready to go EV and for businesses that rely on people traveling to them we believe carbon offsetting or future carbon capture is an important action we can take right now to make a difference.

But why keep our classics on the road? We’re incredibly indebted to the car and the way it has shaped the society we live in today. Therefore, we passionately believe that all our classics, from vintage to modern, should continue to be turning their wheels and racking up the miles – in tribute to the past and to inspire the next generation of engineers. But let’s make those miles green by offsetting and capturing those emissions!

Unlike other carbon offsetting offerings, Tree-V focuses solely on transport, be it cars, bikes, lorries or buses. This allows us to advocate for, and to, the industry, provide specialist support and build a community that cares about both the journey and the environment.

Our story

We are a family of car enthusiasts who, when looking to buy our first classic car, were struggling to balance the desire for classics and our consciousness for the environment. The first car we offset was our very own Myrtle the Morris and during this process, Tree-V sparked into life.

We found that there were many excellent schemes around that allow us to offset our entire carbon footprint, but in order to get an accurate carbon usage figure, there is a considerable amount of work required. We knew our classic car would be an unnecessary carbon emitter, and calculating the carbon should be relatively easy as it would be based on miles driven. We wanted to achieve a quick win by offsetting just our classic car by itself, without having to calculate the carbon from every aspect of our lives in order to get started – who wants to admit how many hours of Tv they watch and how many cuppas they boil a day?!.

So, Tree-V was formed in 2021 to fill this gap for car enthusiasts like ourselves. Tree-V has since branched out (tree pun alert!) to help lots of other people and companies who have unavoidable vehicle emissions still do their bit for the environment.
